Why driver apps break in the real world

01

Location-driven flows

Maps, pickup points and routes behave differently on real GPS hardware than in emulators.

02

Constant interruptions

Screen locks, calls, notifications and app switching happen all the time on the road.

03

Long multi-step journeys

A single trip touches many screens — one regression can block drivers from earning.

What the agent checks

Online / offline status

Switching availability and staying online when the app goes to the background.

Incoming requests

Push notifications and request pop-ups arrive, show the right details and can be accepted.

Maps & navigation

Pickup and drop-off screens, route display and arrival confirmations.

Trip completion

Swipe-to-complete, receipts and status changes at each stage.

Earnings & history

New trips appear in history and daily totals update correctly.

Poor connectivity

Behaviour when the network is slow or drops in the middle of a trip.

Example scenarios

Use test driver accounts and describe the journey step by step.

  1. 1Log in with the test driver account, go online and check the status stays online after locking the screen.
  2. 2Accept the next request, open navigation and confirm the pickup point is shown on the map.
  3. 3Complete the trip and check today's earnings increase by the trip amount.
  4. 4Turn off mobile data during a trip, turn it back on and check the trip continues.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use real GPS?

Yes — tests run on physical phones, so location services, maps and sensors come from real hardware.

How do we generate trip requests for the test?

Most teams use a staging environment where a test rider account or an internal tool creates requests. We'll help you set this up during onboarding.

Can it test both the driver and the customer app?

Yes. Each app runs on its own device, and scenarios can cover both sides of a journey.
